I apologize for my "knat" remark...but I find myself doing that a lot...even with things that are true. I suppose, I'm noticing it more now, because God is convicting me. My husband says I tend to focus in and pick up on some small detail in a story (that he might be telling , and in the process I distract people from the point of his story. I may be perfectly correct about the detail, but he asks, "Does it make any difference to the point of the story?" I had no intention of putting "the other person in their place," but I admit I did zero in on the whole "knat" idea....I guess 'cause it hit close to home. Sorry.. Blessings, Linda

Linda,
I am chuckling as I read your response about the knat. My wife was not one to tell jokes, and when I would tell them, she would miss it because she was concerned about the details that didn't seem right... and like you said, didn't have any importance to the punch line or moral to the story.
I think we all have our little things... I am not immune. I just don't have anyone to point them out and keep me so constantly aware of them anymore.

I was so sorry to read about your loss. Life is different after they are gone and it doesn't seem to get easier. I received a card in the mail today addressed to Diane and Gary Hensley. It was from my aunt. It hurt. I cried, but I soon got busy in something else. Know we care and are praying for you. Diane and Alex

Diane,
Sorry I missed your above post for some reason... I've tried to email you but the addresses I have don't work anymore.
Thanks for your kind words. Yes it is hard sometimes... just when I think I am getting above all that, something comes up that brings it all back. I have found that it is certain times, and places.... and since realizing that... the feelings are almost comforting.
May you grow into new life.
Joe

guest,
Hopefully you will never get your answer here! For a look at deceptions and other nefarious practices you will have to return to the other boards and read the posts as if you cared about Jesus Christ, weather you like the way we choose to serve Him or not.
Those of us who know Christ as we know Him see the deception as easily as you would if we attacked your fundamental beliefs with false information.
Paraphrasing or taking words out of context such as "their job of....deception" is a good start at fostering mistrust.
I will welcome your questions and posts concerning Jesus Christ and man's service to God through Him. This is an interesting place when the beam has been removed from your eye. With Christian Respect,
Richard considering that you were the first one to use the word "deception" in this thread, your further responses sure do tell a story.

Did you know that your charge makes no sense at all in light of the other boards on the Internet concerning the truth? Most are laced with deception, false accusation and even libel (one was pulled for some time, remember) and yet because I do not post those quotes here you are upset with me?
I apologize, but I will not post ammunition of any kind here on these pages nor will we allow bitter, angry "drive by" posts to interfere with the peaceful nature of this discussion board.
If you are truly concerned about something you do not understand, then please register and join the discussions in an adult manner.Sincerely in Christ,
Richard McFarland Board Administrator You charge exes with being deception. What about the 2x2s who commit deception?

Knat isn't in the dictionary. I think the word you want is gnat."strain at a gnat and swallow a camel, to fuss about trifles while ignoring more serious matters. " I am a month late in reading this thread but I just couldn't figure out what knat meant. I apologize for my "knat" remark...but I find myself doing that a lot...even with things that are true. sorry, admin, but with all due respect, your entire post is pure elitism Thank you guest for your due respect but I do not ask for I to nor do I believe I warrant any respect other than my place as a follower of Christ and father to my child. While this board is dedicated to the professing people of the Lord's Way we follow, it has been left open for all to see and post to but for a small sanctuary of peace for ourselves. We only ask that all who post here refrain from negative attacks, unsubstantiated rumors, vulgar language, slander etc.
Any respectable message board will have certain rules that it seeks the posters to follow and many are restricted to members only. It is my belief that Jesus did not intend for His followers to hide themselves from the rest of the world but to go forth and live according to His word and proudly uphold Christ in your life each day wherever you may be.
This is the reason you may see my name here and not have to guess who I may be as I do for you. Guest posting will remain open here as long as the posts remain respectful to the rules of the discussion board.
It is my hope that professing people may be able to discuss and edify each other here. I hope also we may use this board for discussion of Scripture and help each other answer questions we may have about our service in Christ. As you read through these posts you will find where I have been enlightened here by others. I hope that my feeble attempts may help some other in the future.
We all share God's earth together: Christian, Jew, Muslim. We each believe what we are taught to believe or choose to believe when we are older and begin to seek. This board is open to all; professing, exes, antis, and seekers of all faiths.
Since I am responsible for the creation of this board (the inspiration was from another) I apologize for anything that I may have written in the administrative and welcome threads and also the header and footer of the boards. I had hoped to get across the idea that this discussion board was not only for professing people but also for anyone who wished to discuss Faith and Love of Christ and through Christ.Respectfully in Him,
RichardWhat a sad post this is. You need prayers yourself. 2x2s are so full of pride. It is a shame. Why do you put a limit on God's love.

To Chey:
Richard no longer needs your prayers, because he has went home to be with his family in Heaven. However we all could use his prayers, including you. (no animosity intended) Sincerely, bjs

It would be VERY interesting if our friend Richard could speak from eternity to let us know all of the things he's enjoying now.

Hello, I am new here. I am hoping to find a site that has positive posts about spiritual things. I am not too interested in form or source, as long as it comes from God and Jesus' mouth.
Thanks for the site, and I will read more. Lazarus66
