It feels so wonderful to be back in meetings again, and to be taking part. Living in a state where there are not many friends in the truth, and where this is no longer a convention, I wonder what can be done to strengthen the way of truth. I think the damage done on other sites, etc., is just so unbelievable and sad; however, I am reminded that we can encourage one another in this way. I think this is so vitally important. I am in my 50s now, and things look so much different from when I was young. I wonder where the time has gone, as it has gone by so fast. As I grow older, I feel I have much more wisdom now. Although no human being is perfect, and mistakes have been made, I see much good in the truth, and would just want to do whatever I can to help spread the gospel, and the way of truth. I hope some of you will please email me at DrJerryGarrett@yahoo.com. I feel the need to hear from you. I need the encouragement that comes as a result. My email address is drjerrygarrett@yahoo.com.
A followered of truth, Jeremiah [Jerry]

My first thought, after reading the title of this thread, was "LIVE IT". Dear Doc...where are you that you are so isolated and have some emailed you yet after you posted this question? This is my first time on here.

Jerry, as we have communicated in email, I think that family, and God are important to us. We have never had family, when we were young, and the love that enfolds us, and we are wanting that before our lives are over. I have found that when people start talking to me, I have the opportunity to speak of my love of God, and what has happened in my life to make me the way I am, that makes people want to talk to me. I think that in every conversation, we need to at least make a reference to being thankful to God for what we are and have. People that know me, are drawn to me, and I have nothing physically that they could want. I feel that living a life that is one before people that want to have a better life speaks volumes. I don't preach, but just share the love that God has put in my heart, and talk of my thankfulness for being delivered from the things that keep others down, like alcohol and drugs. I speak of my experience, and that comes from a place of authority, so they listen. You have been in places where you can talk of being delivered from, and share your gratitude to God for being delivered from that. I am hoping to talk with you soon, and share more, and know that we will get together, God willing and become great friends. Take care, and call when you can. I loved what I saw on one board. It said, "Preach the Gospel, use words if necessary!". Just be grateful you are not bitter, because of your experience, and have found joy. Joy begets joy, in others. Spread your joy that way, and in doing so, spread the Gospel.
As always, thanks for the opportunity to post................................Dale

I have wondered this very Question myself so often. Thank you for braving it then saying it. I will never forget a friend once said to me that if I knew the way to heaven but because of fear, pride or what ever I never shared it with them then the day came and they cried out to me from across the eternal gulf, "why didn't you tell me or share with me or even push me if you knew " That has always haunted me as even today I work with those I love yet have never really shared, invited, or told! We must! Look at the false religions and even the blatantly evil organizations and how hard they work to recruit! Be desperately truthful in the word of God and others will see your example that want to see. Warn and admonish every man without coming across as a nut job. Your sincerity will show through

Jerry, my brother in Christ, while I don't know you in person, I feel kinship, to the extent that we live for the same purpose and that being to possess the love and Spirit of God within...which will be our salvation because of the cross and resurrection of Jesus. '..wherever two or three and gathered together in my name...' God never lets his people alone, His presence is within and around you. I am an ex-worker, I had to leave because I could not handle the lifestyle...but, though one cannot be in the work, he/she can have the heart of a worker...that is, to pray that God will continue to reach out and gather his Sheep, that are outside..Jesus speaks of this. We can be willing vessels, in the hand of the Lord, to be used as necessary to introduce others to the Gospel, in ways we may not even be aware of, ourselves. I would e-mail you, but, I would like your permission first. My e-mail is in my profile. Love, as a brother in Him Dale
