We heard a wonderful message on intercession at our special meeting. Jesus said to Peter, Satan hath desired to have thee to sift thee as wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith fail not. Jesus interceded on Peter's behalf BEFORE he failed. We often don't have the discernment to know when our brother is about to fail, but if we have the Spirit of Christ we will be able to intercede on our brother's behalf even before they fail.
There is only one who has the right to condemn us but He is now sitting at God's right hand interceding for us. If we have the Spirit of Christ, instead of condemning our brother, we will be interceding on their behalf.
Abraham interceded for Lot. Moses interceded for the children of Israel. Daniel identified himself with the sins of the people and interceded for them, because of the Spirit of Christ within him.
We are come unto mount Zion.....to the spirits of just men made perfect. Before a spirit is MADE perfect, it must go through the process of being made perfect. Aren't we glad that God works with our spirits, he works with our wills to make us willing? And wonderful to understand that we have a mediator in Christ to reconcile us to God, and many intercessors with the Spirit of Christ to help in that process.

Wonderful thoughts. Isn't it spirit that we would dearly love to have. Human nature is an automatic judgement machine

Thank you for sharing those thoughts! I'm really thankful for intercessory prayers and need to be more faithful to pray that way for others.

Wow, that is well put Dehl. I believe that we can iterceed for each other as long as the light of truth is in us:
Luke 11:34-35 34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35 Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. NKJV
We must remember that the 'light' we think we have not be 'darkness'. This would surely throw a wrench into the intersesory process, don't you think?
John 15:7-8 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. NKJV
And that's a promise, so let's intersede.
Rom 8:9 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. NKJV
That's a big IF that can also throw a wrench into this process. I will now go and check out this IF in me.
Thank you Delh.. God bless you.
