if I cannot see something, it is not there?
perhaps we can have a limited understanding of what things are real, if we have to see something in order for us to believe ''it'' exists?
Seeing is believing, thus, not seeing/understanding is unbelief?
and yet there are many things that i do not see, but I do know they exist, right?

This board has been reqd 76 times. It appears that no one has posted any replies. Well, I am going to go out on a limb and do so. First, you didn't indicate any reference point, to which your opening comments would apply. Having said this, I am going to use the church, as my point of reference. I have been professing a long time, does this make me better than others, no. I am pretty much the sinner I've always been, to the extent that I struggle every day to live up to God's standards, according to Scripture, not men's inflicted thoughts or ideas. Have I had a perfect sojourn, no. At times, I have turned and walked away from God...but, I have proven He never walks away from me! We have our brethren of old, who had similar experiences - David, Peter, doubting Thomas, who, when he touched Jesus wounds, declared "My lord and my God!!" What I am leading up to is this: No man has ever seen God, Moses only saw his backside. People had visions, they heard his voice, sometimes loud as thunder, other times it was a still small voice. God sent his Son, Jesus, as the Savior, to bring all sinners (the Jews first, then the Gentiles) to his Father. I like what Peter wrote in 1st Peter 1:8 "Whom having seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory." The eyes of our faith recognize the Christ...this is the revelation we received, when we heard the Gospel and professed...we saw Jesus, the Son of the living God. Peter received this revelation, and when Jesus asked the twelve - "Will ye also go away? Peter said, Jn 6:69"We believe and are sure that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." Many who had formerly walked with Jesus, left him, because while they say the man Jesus, it went no further...they missed the importance of realizing and accepting Jesus, as the Son of the living God. Today, we serve in faith, a God we have not seen, but our eyes have been opened and enlightened, and we accept Jesus as our door to life. Our faith will be tried, it will become weak, but, God is greater than us, and will strengthen our faith, as we are willing to pray through our Lord Jesus for the Father's help.
