In my opinion, The essense of understanding how we fit into Gods plan, is to understand the spirit of the word, as we learn from the letter of the word.
just some thoughts, as I ponder some verses over in my mind this morning. hmmmm well, it is impossible to convey the spirit of the message, unless we are present at the time it is conveyed to us>?

Good insight.
It is very hard to describe the spirit of the message, but it should show in our lives.
Our walk is guided by our spirit, which is guided by God and His revelation to us...........Dale

So, even though we might not understand all the literal words, we can get a feeling for the spirit of truth/God. Then, to be led of this spirit, we can discern the intent of the literal word, yet not with a private meaning, but how the word speaks to us individually/. Perhaps the purpose of this is to create an understanding that the spirit will lead us, even if our language sometimes fails us in justice to the literalness of the literal word and what was originally meant ? Such as : the use of the word 'church'. Nothing wrong with the manner the word is used in the KJV, yet , there are some that are confused about the use of the word, because it has became a word that has 'developed' meanings that certainly confuse the literal correctness that the original word was meant to convey? This is not to worry anyone, because if we are allowing the spirit to lead us, we will not be confused, we will accept the spirit of the word, and the spirit of the word, certainly points us to the true spirit of the original word, even in its literal meaning.

Another word, that is literal truth. When we read the word truth in the word, we associate it with both : Jesus, and correctness. They are both correct meanings, yet, some folk will ignore that truth as we desire to discuss it, in the spirit of truth, is contained with the correct doctrine. If we are follwing 'correct doctrine' then we are following the truth, and also Jesus was also following the doctrine of his Father, not his own doctrine, yet, because he was following perfectly the doctrine of his Father, then his life was the true/truth interpretation of the will and way of the Father, and therefore Truth . Yet when I wish to inquire about what is the 'correct doctrine'/ 'teachings', might also be thought of as correct teachings, of which we should be following, since Jesus himself would teach the same true and correct message to us, even as we seach for truth/Jesus in our world, and we can find him! If we continue to earnestly search for truth/correct living.

The word 'good' has an interesting history, eh? Originally the word good was also the word the described 'God'. Thus there was a double meaning when Jesus said that only God is 'Good' . Meaning that Good means : of God. It is good to know that , eh? Good master! Yes only God is Good! He is wonderfully benevolent to His creation, in all ways, yet we human beings are yet proned to wander far away, not knowing the cost of being ignorant , even though we are the product of our forefathers desire to truly understand the difference between good and evil (right from wrong) and various other peculiarities!
